In a relay race each team member awaits the baton pass in order to run. Sometimes the pass comes unexpectedly, yet you still grab the baton and run.
For close to 14 years our friend, John McDowell, ran with Builder/Architect Magazine as a marathon runner. Alone he met many of you as he told his stories of his days at Sears and his favorite sports team on the other end of the planet. John was an old school, hard working man who met Jesus several years before he passed away in 2006. John was passionate about the builder business, but even more passionate in his last days about our Savior and Lord.
Today is a new day and the baton is in the hands of Matthew and Michael Valentine. A father and son team with efforts that look more like a relay race then a marathon. Our baton will be passed to each and every one of our builders, architects, developers, designers, artists and contractors. We firmly believe that a trade publication must be true to the trade.
Run with us as we reshape the building communities of the Carolinas one house at a time.
